This article is enacted to provide for the disposition of revenues from taxes imposed by the County of Erie in that said amounts are to be paid directly to the Town of Lancaster to be used for any Town purpose.
Section 1262 of the Tax Law authorizes counties to set aside a portion of their sales tax revenue for cities and towns. Pursuant to this section, the Town of Lancaster is providing that the amounts paid to the Town, as a portion of the sales tax revenue, shall be paid directly to the Town of Lancaster to be used for any Town purpose.
This article will affect sales tax revenue which was set aside by the County of Erie for the Town of Lancaster pursuant to law.
This article shall take effect after mailing, filing and publication as required by law.
