[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of West Deptford 5-2-1974 by Ord. No. 74-7, effective 7-1-1974. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to authority of N.J.S.A. 26:3-9, the Township of West Deptford hereby adopts the provisions of Subdivision B (N.J.S.A. 26:3-3 to N.J.S.A. 26:3-7) of the article which is the subject matter of aforesaid statute.[1]

The local Board of Health created herein shall consist of five members.
Members of the West Deptford Township Board of Health shall be appointed by the Township Committee.
Appointments to the first Board of Health constituted pursuant to this chapter shall be made for terms as follows: One such member shall be appointed for a term expiring on December 31, 1974; one such member shall be appointed for a term expiring on December 31, 1975; one such member shall be appointed for a term expiring on December 31, 1976; two such members shall be appointed for terms expiring on December 31, 1977. Upon expiration of each of the foregoing terms, all future appointments shall be for a term of four years.
If any vacancy shall occur on the Board of Health, it shall be filled by appointment of the Township Committee, which said appointment shall be for the unexpired portion of the term of the member who creates the vacancy.
