Legalized games of chance, as provided by the Laws of the State of New Jersey, codified at N.J.S.A. 5:8-1 et seq. and rules adopted by the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission adopted effective March 20, 2006, may be conducted in the Borough of Neptune City, in the County of Monmouth, on the first day of the week commonly known and designated as "Sunday," provided that the applicant for the license to conduct such games otherwise qualifies under the provisions of the aforementioned statutes of the State of New Jersey and the rules and regulations of the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission, and, specifically, provided that the organization conducting said games is a charitable, religious, educational, patriotic, fire company or first-aid organization or other type of organization specifically qualifying under the provisions of the aforementioned statutes.
The governing body delegates by ordinance the authority to approve the granting of bingo and games of chance licenses to the Municipal Clerk.
