All lands abutting on any public street shall be numbered on a basis of one number for each 50 feet of street frontage.
The numbering on every public street running easterly and westerly and intersecting the boundary lines between the Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea and the Borough of Bradley Beach and the numbering on all streets running easterly and westerly shall begin at the most easterly end of said street or avenue. The northerly side of every such street shall be numbered with even numbers and the southerly side thereof with odd numbers.
The numbering on every public street running northerly and southerly to or across Sylvania Avenue shall commence at the most southerly end of said street, and the easterly side of said street shall be numbered with even numbers and the westerly side thereof with odd numbers.
Riverview Avenue shall be numbered on a basis of one number for each 50 feet and shall begin at Laird Avenue, as now laid out. The northerly side thereof shall be numbered with even numbers and the southerly side thereof with odd numbers.
All streets and avenues within the borough having a dead end shall be numbered on a basis of one number for each 50 feet, commencing at the entrance of said street or avenue, in accordance with the provisions herein contained.

The Borough Clerk and Borough Engineer shall furnish to any person applying therefor the correct number or numbers of any lands.
