A Borough Planning Commission is created and shall be composed
of five members. Such Planning Commission shall be appointed as prescribed
by law and shall perform all the duties and may exercise all the powers
and functions vested by law in planning commissions, by law and by
ordinances of the Borough, including, but not limited to, the preparation
and adoption of a plan of development of the Borough, the appointment
of employees and staff deemed necessary for its work, contracting
with planners and other consultants for such technical services as
the Commission may require, coordination with county, regional or
other planning agencies, and other matters necessary and incidental
thereto. All vacancies in office shall be filled in the manner prescribed
by law.
General Borough funds are hereby authorized to be used for necessary
expenditures of the Planning Commission.
