No person or business shall pump or allow water to drain in
any manner whatsoever, directly or indirectly, onto any Town street
or road from any source, except where permission is given by the Town
of Lincoln DPW Director in cases of emergency or special temporary
cases.
It is hereby prohibited to have any private pipes, ditches,
drains or other similar equipment or structures that directly or indirectly
pumps, drains or disposes of water onto any Town street or road.
Natural drainage from driveways and lawns are specifically exempted
from the requirements of this article.
Any person or business that has been found to violate the provisions
of this article by the Town of Lincoln DPW Director shall first be
warned in writing and given 30 days to correct to the violation. If
the violation is not corrected within 30 days of the date the notice
of violation is sent, the person or business shall be fined a sum
not exceed $100 for each day of the violation.
