No person shall shoot, fire or explode, or cause to be shot,
fired or exploded, any gun, air gun or spring gun in the Village of
Canisteo, New York.
A.
The Board of Trustees, however, may, upon application of any person,
allow such person to discharge a gun, provided that such person complies
with the regulations made by the Board of Trustees and the Chief of
Police.
B.
Nothing herein shall be deemed to prevent the lawful use of firearms
by members of governmental law enforcement or police departments.
Violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not
more than $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days,
or both.
