Editor's Note: Former § 93-4, Throwing or depositing of refuse upon streets prohibited, was repealed at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I).
No person shall encumber any street, sidewalk or public ground with any material, goods, wares and merchandise or any refuse so as to obstruct the passage upon the sidewalk of said streets or between the line of the curbstone.
All persons are hereby prohibited from marking, writing upon or defacing the sidewalks situated within the Village of Canisteo, County of Steuben, New York, with paint, chalk, sharp instruments or other materials.

Any person, firm or corporation violating the conditions of this article shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both, for each and every violation.
