A.
Every owner or occupant of land either improved or unimproved shall
clear all snow and ice from the sidewalk in front thereof. In the
event that snow has fallen during the daytime, it shall be removed
before 9:00 p.m. of that same day. In the event that the snow has
fallen in the nighttime, it shall be removed before 9:00 a.m.
B.
On default of the removal of said snow and ice as above-provided,
the Superintendent of Public Works or his agent may remove the same,
and the expense thereof shall be assessed upon such adjoining land.

C.
Penalties
for offenses. Any person, firm or corporation violating the conditions
of this article shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250
or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both, for
each and every violation.
