Except as noted in Subsection C:
A. 
No person shall, within the territorial limits of the Township of Gloucester, hunt, attempt to hunt or discharge firearms of any type, including rifles, shotguns, pistols, air guns and BB guns, at any time.
B. 
No person shall discharge any firearm upon or across any state, county or Township road or highway.
C. 
No person except the owner or lessee of the property persons specifically authorized by him in writing shall hunt, discharge or have in his possession a loaded gun while within 1,500 feet of any occupied dwelling in the Township of Gloucester or Township recreational building or field or within 1,500 feet of a school playground.
A. 
Nothing in this article shall prohibit the use of firearms for the protection of life, persons or property.
B. 
The provisions of this article shall not apply to any pistol, shotgun or rifle range equipped with proper safeguards for protection of life and property, or operated by any club under the control and supervision of the duly constituted officers of such club, and the duly authorized Gloucester Township Police Training Range.
C. 
The following pistol, shotgun, rifle range are determined present exceptions to this article:
(1) 
Private Gun Range on Garwood Road - Block 15805, Lot 20, Lot 20.1.
(2) 
Gloucester Township Police Training Range - Block 14003, Lot 25.
Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine of not more than $200 or to imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding 60 days, or both in the discretion of the Magistrate before whom such conviction shall be had.

A. 
No person shall discharge any firearm upon or across any state, county or Township road or highway.
B. 
No person except the owner or lessee of the property and persons specifically authorized by him in writing shall have in his possession a loaded gun while within 450 feet of any occupied dwelling in the Township of Gloucester or while within 450 feet of a school playground.
C. 
No person shall possess a firearm in any municipal-owned building or while on any municipal-owned property or grounds; except, however:
(1) 
Any law enforcement officer who is authorized to carry a firearm, while on or off duty;
(2) 
Any retired law enforcement officer who is authorized to carry a firearm under 18 U.S.C. § 926C(c) Federal Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act, a.k.a. LEOSA;
(3) 
Any private armored car service personnel who has an issued New Jersey pistol carry permit and while performing authorized business as described in N.J.S.A. 18:24-34.5 (armored car services).
(4) 
Any person who has been issued, and is in possession of, written permission/authorization issued by the Chief of Police of the Township of Gloucester.
Any person violating any section or provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine for each such infraction, not exceeding $1,000 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
