Whenever the Board of Trustees shall set a date for a public hearing
upon a proposed local law, the Village Clerk shall give notice of such hearing
by the publication once in the official newspaper of the village or in such
other newspaper of general circulation within the village as the Board of
Trustees may designate, or by posting in not less than four public places
in the village of a notice specifying the time when and the place where such
hearing will be held and in general terms describing briefly the nature or
subject of the proposed local law. Such notice shall be so published or posted
at least five days prior to such hearing. In computing such five-day notice
period, the date of posting shall be excluded and the date of the hearing
shall be included.

A. Every local law hereafter adopted by the Board of Trustees
shall be entered in its minutes.
B. Every local law shall take effect immediately upon its
filing in the office of the Secretary of State unless otherwise specifically
provided therein.
This chapter shall be deemed to supersede, with respect to the subject
matter hereof, §§ 90, 95, 178 and 179 of the Village Law.
