The purpose of this article is to ensure that the maximum and most efficient use of the tennis courts in Ardsley's parks be enjoyed by all permittees.

The Board of Trustees shall prepare and adopt such rules and regulations for the use of Ardsley's tennis courts as shall be in the interests of the residents of the Village and other eligible users. The use of the courts shall be by written permit only. The type of written permit and the cost of the same shall be set forth in the rules and regulations adopted by the Board and may be changed by the Board from time to time by resolution.[1]

Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this article shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.

The purpose of this article is to regulate and control the park facilities of the Village of Ardsley to ensure maximum use, enjoyment, and availability of these facilities. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of Louis M. Pascone Park (formerly Ashford Park) and McDowell Park. Programs devised, sanctioned, and/or supervised by the Ardsley Recreation Commission shall be exempt from the requirements of this article, except for the smoking regulations. Additionally, the Board of Trustees may, in its discretion, waive parts or all of the requirements contained herein.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
GROUP
An assemblage of 10 or more persons gathered for a particular purpose.

Use by groups of picnic areas, pavilions and athletic fields and facilities, other than tennis courts, shall be prohibited unless such use has been requested in a written application to the Village office, a written official permit has been issued for such use, and the required fee paid in advance.
Use of park facilities shall be permitted only after payment of fees established by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ardsley. Fees for the use of park facilities shall be reviewed and revised by resolution of the Board of Trustees as necessary.

The applicant for use of park facilities shall complete and sign the necessary forms and agreements supplied by the Village and submit the same to the Recreation Superintendent or his/her agents at the Community Center. The Recreation Superintendent shall determine the availability of the requested facilities and shall issue the necessary permits only if such facilities are available for the times and dates requested and only upon payment of the required fee. The permittee shall carry the issued permit to the facility on the designated date and present the same as evidence of permission, upon request.
