A.
The Village of Lindenhurst hereby designates the following
locations to be utilized as parking for railroad commuters, provided
that an appropriate sticker, as issued by the Village Administrator
Clerk, is securely affixed to the bumper or other designated location
on each vehicle to be parked in the designated locations.

(1)
Municipal parking field located on East Hoffman Avenue
(north side) north of the railroad between Irmisch Avenue and North
Alleghany Avenue.
(2)
Municipal parking field located on East John Street
(south side) between Irmisch Avenue and North Alleghany Avenue on
the west bank of Neguntague Creek.
B.
The Village of Lindenhurst is hereby authorized to
mark off individual parking spaces to be designated by lines painted
or durably marked upon the street or parking field surface. The parking
of a vehicle in any area other than within such designated spaces
shall be a violation.
C.
The Village Board may, by resolution, omit the requirement
for a parking permit on days designated by the Board.

A.
The Village Board may, by resolution, authorize any
and all parking regulations to be adhered to by all persons utilizing
any municipal parking field.
B.
Failure to comply with any parking regulation shall
be deemed a violation of the Village Code and subject to enforcement
efforts as authorized by the Village Board.

A.
The first parking bay east of the railroad station
under the railroad viaduct shall be reserved as follows: three parking
spaces for railroad personnel only, and the remaining parking spaces
for motorcycles and bicycles only. No parking permit shall be required
for these spaces.
B.
The Village Board of Trustees may, by resolution,
designate parking spaces in the municipal field behind Village Hall
to be used by Village employees only during hours designated by the
Board. Such spaces shall be clearly posted.
C.
For all municipal parking fields owned, leased or
otherwise directly controlled by the Village of Lindenhurst, the Village
is hereby authorized to mark off individual parking spaces and restricted
parking areas, to be designated either by the posting of signs or
by lines painted or durably marked upon the street or parking field
surface. The parking of any vehicle in a manner other than that designated
shall be a violation.
D.
The Village Board of Trustees may, by resolution,
allocate parking for residents and/or nonresidents in parking bays
under the railroad viaduct from Delaware Avenue west to the Lindenhurst
Long Island Rail Road Station, subject to any conditions and restrictions
that may be agreed upon between the Village and the Metropolitan Transportation
Authority. Any permit found affixed to a vehicle which is not being
used in a lawful and valid manner shall be confiscated forthwith by
any appropriate code enforcement officer and shall be deemed revoked.
Any such confiscated permit shall not entitle the holder thereof to
a refund of any fees paid.
E.
Whenever a Village of Lindenhurst parking permit is
required by the provisions of this chapter, it shall be a violation
for any person, firm or organization to obtain and/or use such permit
in a manner that is not valid. A permit that is not valid includes
any permit being used by a person other than the person to whom the
permit was originally issued or being used for a vehicle or for license
plates other than the ones for which the permit was originally issued.
F.
The municipal parking field behind the municipal building
located at the east side of South Wellwood Avenue between Snedecor
Avenue and Herbert Avenue is hereby allocated for use only by persons
with official business to conduct at the municipal building, including
Village employees. This restriction shall not apply on Saturdays,
Sundays and holidays. Exceptions shall be permitted only by resolution
of the Village Board of Trustees.
A.
The following locations are hereby designated as municipal
marina parking fields:
(1)
The marina at the south terminus of South Wellwood
Avenue and such other parking fields as may be so designated by resolution
of the Village Board of Trustees.
B.
Parking, standing and stopping in municipal marina
parking fields is hereby allocated and restricted to those motor vehicles
which acquire and display a securely affixed appropriate permit on
the right rear bumper as more fully set forth below. The docking and/or
mooring of any boat to the municipal marina at the south terminus
of South Wellwood Avenue other than those to whom a permit or berthing
rights has been issued shall be prohibited.
C.
Restrictions all day; use of marina.
(1)
Parking, standing and stopping at the fields designated
in this section shall be restricted all day, all year, and only those
vehicles which properly acquire and display the appropriate parking
permit shall be permitted to park, stop or stand.
(2)
Parking, standing and stopping at fields designated
in this section shall be further restricted to those vehicles which
are parked there for the use and enjoyment of the marina only. The
use of the field designated in this section for any persons who park
at the marina and leave the marina shall be strictly prohibited.
D.
There shall be no fee for a marina parking field permit charged to residents of the Incorporated Village of Lindenhurst and/or those persons who rent a boat slip at the marina(s) referred to in Subsection A above. All other persons shall pay a yearly fee of $35.
E.
The Village Administrator Clerk of the Incorporated
Village of Lindenhurst or such persons as he or she shall designate
shall issue appropriate permit stickers and formulate such rules and
regulations in regard thereto as the Village Administrator Clerk shall
deem appropriate and proper to effectuate this section. The obligations
imposed by this section shall bind those who operate vehicles or own
vehicles which are parked, stopped or standing at municipal parking
fields. Any permit found affixed to a vehicle which is not being used
in a lawful and valid manner shall be confiscated forthwith by any
appropriate code enforcement officer and shall be deemed revoked.
Any such confiscated permit shall not entitle the holder thereof to
a refund of any fees paid.
F.
At any Village-owned or -operated marina, bulkhead
or other dock space, the docking and/or mooring of any boat to said
facility other than those to whom a Village permit or berthing rights
has been issued shall be prohibited.
The Lindenhurst Village Board of Trustees may,
by resolution, allocate parking spaces for use only by handicapped
or disabled persons in any municipal parking field owned, leased or
otherwise controlled by the Village of Lindenhurst. Vehicles parking
in such allocated spaces shall clearly display a sticker issued to
disabled or handicapped persons by the County of Suffolk or other
governmental agency approved by the Village Board of Trustees, which
sticker includes the international symbol of access for disabled persons.
The ingress and egress of vehicles onto or from
highways at public and private parking fields within the incorporated
limits of this Village shall be controlled as follows:
A.
Wellwood Avenue, southbound, to enter the Litvin Municipal
Parking Field; then one-way westbound direction — egress, School
Street.
B.
Private parking field for the shopping center at the
northeast corner of South Delaware Avenue and Montauk Highway (Route
27A), south driveway on South Delaware Avenue, one-way entrance (no
egress).
