The term of office of the elective Supervisor of the Town of Chenango
shall be four years. Such four-year term shall commence on the 1st day of
January following the first biannual Town election after the effective date
of this article.
At the biannual election next following the effective date of this article
and every four years thereafter, the Supervisor shall be elected for a term
of four years.
This article shall supersede, in its application to the Town of Chenango,
§ 24 of the Town Law of the State of New York with respect to the
term of office of the elective Supervisor.
This article is adopted pursuant to the provisions of § 10(1)(ii)(d)(3),
§ 10(1)(ii)(a)(1) expressly authorizes the supersession of § 24
of the Town Law, State of New York.
