A.
Thirty miles per hour is hereby established as the
maximum speed at which vehicles may proceed on all highways in the
portions of the Town of Chenango described as follows:
(1)
That section lying north of the Town of Dickinson
line, west of the United States Highway No. 11 (known as Front Street),
including and south of a portion of County Highway No. 58 (known as
Smith Road) and east of a line about 500 feet west of the western
end of streets known as Wallace Road, Grandview Drive, Heights Court
and John Street, such line extended onto Smith Road to a reasonable
point of intersection and to the Town of Dickinson line.

That section lying north of the Chenango River, west
of the western line of property 6-14-12, extended northward to intersect
the southern boundary of property 6-49, extended eastward; south of
the property 6-49, west of the western boundary of property 6-49,
extended northward to intersect the southern boundary of property
6-32 extended eastward; along the southern boundary of property 6-32,
extended westward to its intersection with a stream of water known
commonly as Thomas Brook; southward along Thomas Brook to its intersection
with New York State Highway No. 12A; eastward along but not including
State Highway No. 12A to the highway bridge crossing the Chenango
River; and thence along the Chenango River to the point of beginning.
All portions of the Town of Chenango described above are shown on
detail plates of the Broome County Assessment Maps of the Town of
Chenango Nos. 6-5 through 6-14, 7-10 through 7-12, and Section B of
Tax Map Survey of July 1, 1941.

On portions of highway in the Broad Acres area; namely,
Quinn Road, Carmichael Road, Merrill Road, Jacobs Highway, Matthews
Road, Kennedy Road, Duryea Road, Gage Road, Edwards Lane and LaFrance
Road.

No person shall operate a vehicle on any highway
or private road open to public motor vehicle traffic at a rate of
speed in excess of the maximum established in this article.
