Any person, firm, association or corporation who shall violate
any of the provisions of this chapter or of any rule or regulation
made pursuant thereto shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment
for not more than 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each
day the violation exists shall constitute a separate offense.
This chapter shall apply to all plumbing, drainage system and
plumbing system installations in the Village of Mamaroneck.
This chapter shall not be construed to relieve from nor lessen
the responsibility of any person owning, operating, controlling or
installing any plumbing or drainage work for loss of life or damage
to person or property caused by any defect therein, nor shall the
Village of Mamaroneck be deemed to have assumed any such liability
by reason of any permit issued pursuant to this chapter.
