The location and boundaries of districts shall
be shown on the map attached hereto and made part of this chapter.
The map shall be designated as the "West Brandywine Township Zoning
Map." The map and all notations, references and other data shown thereon
shall be as much a part of this chapter as is fully described herein.
The boundaries between districts are, unless
otherwise indicated, either the centerlines of streets, watercourses,
property lines, rights-of-way of power lines, railroads or other public
utilities. The following rules shall apply where uncertainty exists
as to the location of any boundary on the Zoning Map:
A. Where a district boundary is indicated as approximately
following the centerlines of a street, watercourse or rights-of-way
of a utility, such centerline shall be construed to be such boundary.
B. Where a district boundary is indicated as approximately
following a lot or other property line, such lot or property line
shall be construed to be such boundary.
C. Where a district boundary divides a lot or runs through
undivided property, the location of such boundary, unless otherwise
specified by figures on the Zoning Map, shall be determined by the
use of the scale appearing on the said map.
D. Where figures are shown on the Zoning Map between
a street and a district boundary, they shall indicate that the district
boundary runs parallel to the street line at a given distance. Where
scaled districts do not agree with such figures, the figures shall
control.
Wherever federal or state owned land is located
in the Township, it shall be subject to provisions of this chapter
only insofar as permitted by the Constitution and laws of the United
States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
