The City desires to avail itself of the provisions of Article XLV of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes, 11 O.S. § 45-101 et seq., and it is the intention of the City to avail itself of the provisions of said statutes; therefore, there is hereby created a municipal planning commission.

There shall be a Municipal Planning Commission, appointed by the City Council, consisting of five members, all of whom shall reside within the municipality. The overlapping term of the members shall be for three years.
The Municipal Planning Commission is hereby designated as the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City in accordance with the laws of the state.
