[Adopted 9-1-1972 as Ch. 30, Sec. 30-2, of the 1972 Code]

§ 31-26 Street Department and Superintendent.

There shall be a Street Department, the head of which shall be the Street Superintendent appointed by the City Manager for an indefinite term. Subject to supervision and control by the City Manager, the Street Superintendent shall have supervision and control of the Street Department. It shall be the duty of the Street Department, among others, to construct, repair, maintain and improve streets, alleys and other public ways.
