Prior to the placement of any bulk metal items for
collection, prior arrangements must be made with the Department of
Public Works to schedule collection of such items. Bulk metal items
that contain Freon must have the Freon removed and bear a certification
sticker as having had the Freon removed before they can be collected,
or a fee shall be charged by the Department of Public Works, as set
forth in the Master Fee Schedule which may be amended from time to
time by the Board of Trustees, to pay for removal of the Freon. Any
appliance, box or container large enough for a child to enter and
having doors which, when closed, cannot be opened from the inside
and which has no other means for the admission of air adequate to
sustain human life shall have its door removed before it is placed
at curbside for collection.
