This article is adopted pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law § 10(1)(ii)(a)(1),
which grants to local governments the authority to enact local laws regarding
the qualifications for local officers.
Residence requirements for the position of the Clerk for the Village
of McGraw: The person holding the office of Clerk in the Village of McGraw,
Cortland County, need not be a resident nor elector of the Village of McGraw;
provided, however, such a person shall reside in the county in which such
Village is located.
