Township of Ridley, PA Article I Annual Organization Meetings

[Adopted 3-19-1975 as Ch. 6, Art. I, of the 1975 Code]

§ 9-1 Board of Commissioners to organize first.

No board, commission or committee appointed by the Board of Township Commissioners shall hereafter hold its reorganization meeting for the election of its officers at any time prior to the reorganization of the Board of Township Commissioners. Any reorganization hereafter held by any such board, commission or committee prior to the reorganization of the Board of Township Commissioners shall be deemed to be void.

§ 9-2 Time limits on reorganization meetings.

A. In the event that a reorganization of any board, commission or committee is held, by virtue of the provisions of any Act of Assembly or by ordinance, in any year in which the Board of Township Commissioners does not reorganize, then in such event such reorganization meeting of such board, commission or committee shall be held within 30 days of the first Monday of January of such year.

B. In the event that a reorganization of any board, commission or committee is held, by virtue of the provisions of any Act of Assembly or by ordinance, in any year in which the Board of Township Commissioners shall reorganize, such reorganization of such board, commission or committee shall be held within 30 days after the reorganization of the Board of Township Commissioners.

§ 9-3 Continuation of office holder until qualification of successor.

All persons holding any office of honor or profit under any board, commission or committee shall continue to hold such office until their successors are duly elected and qualified, except where restricted by an Act of Assembly.
