§ 181-1 Adoption of code by reference.

That a certain document, three copies of which are on file in the Office of Code Enforcement of Ridley Township, being marked and designated as the International Mechanical Code, 2009 edition, including Appendix Chapter A, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of Ridley Township, in the State of Pennsylvania, regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Mechanical Code on file in the Office of Code Enforcement are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 181-2 of this chapter.

§ 181-2 Revisions.

The following sections are hereby revised:

Section 101.1	Ridley Township
Section 106.5.2	Fee Schedule, shall read: "A schedule adopted by resolution of the Board of Commissioners."
Section 106.5.3	Fee Refunds, is amended to provide that a request to refund fees be made to the Board of Commissioners.
Section 108.4	Violation Penalties, is completed by inserting the words "summary offense" in the space entitled "specify offense," inserting words "$1,000" in the space entitled "amount," and inserting the words "30 days" in the space entitled "number of days."
Section 108.5	Stop Work Orders, is completed by inserting the words "250" in the first space entitled "amount" and inserting the words "$1,000" in the second space entitled "amount."
Section 109	Means of Appeal, is deleted. A substitute procedure is adopted by resolution of the Board of Commissioners.

§ 181-3 Effect on pending action.

That nothing in this chapter or in the Mechanical Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding impending in any court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in § 181-2 of this chapter, nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
