The following behavior or activities are hereby prohibited in the Lee
Memorial Library:
B. Playing of audio equipment so that other persons can
hear it.
D. Carrying a weapon into the library unless authorized
by law. Any patron authorized to carry a weapon must notify the library staff
that he/she is carrying a weapon in the library.
E. Bringing animals into the library except those needed
to assist a patron with a disability.
F. Misusing the library rest rooms.
G. Leaving a child under the age of seven unattended in
the library without the supervision of an adult.
H. Talking loudly, making noise or engaging in other disruptive
or disorderly conduct.
I. Interfering with another person's use of the library
or with the library personnel's performance of their duties.
All persons using the library must be fully attired including footwear
and shirts.
Library privileges may be limited for the following reasons:
A. Damaging library property.
B. Stealing library materials.
C. Threatening or physically harming library staff or patrons.
D. Outstanding fines and overdue materials.
Procedures that govern the suspension of library privileges will be
on file for public inspection at the library circulation desk.
The Library Director or his/her designee is hereby authorized to file
a complaint for violation of the provisions of this chapter in the Municipal
Court.
Any person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
the first conviction thereof, be liable to a fine not to exceed $100 plus
court costs. Persons convicted of a subsequent violation hereof shall be subject
to a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment for a term not more than 90 days,
or both, in the discretion of the Municipal Judge.
