A. 
This chapter shall be enforced by the Zoning Officer or the Construction Code Official, as appropriate, who shall in no case, except under written order of the Borough Council, the Board of Adjustment or the Planning Board, issue any permit for the erection or structural alteration of any building or grant any occupancy permit for any building or land where the proposed erection, structural alteration or use would be in violation of any provisions of this chapter.
B. 
Wherever the term "Building Inspector" appears in this chapter, it shall be deemed revised so as to read "Construction Code Official."
C. 
Wherever the terms "Board of Adjustment" and "Planning Board" appear in this chapter, such terms shall be deemed interchangeable and shall apply to either the Planning Board or the Board of Adjustment in accordance with provisions of the land use statute, N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq. (substituted for N.J.S.A. 40:55-1.1 et seq.) and the Land Use Procedure Ordinance of the Borough of Allendale.[1]
