A. The Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed by
the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
B. The term of the Chief Financial Officer shall be for
four years commencing January 1 of the year in which the Chief Financial
Officer is appointed.
The Chief Financial Officer shall receive such
compensation as shall be prescribed from time to time by the Salary
Ordinance of the Borough.

A. A vacancy in the position of Chief Financial Officer shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as set forth in §
52-13.
B. A person who does not hold a municipal finance certificate
may be appointed to serve as a temporary Chief Financial Officer for
a period not to exceed one year commencing on the date of the vacancy.
A person so appointed may be reappointed for one additional year;
provided, however, that no person shall serve as temporary Chief Financial
Officer for more than two consecutive years.
