For the purposes of this article, the following
definitions shall apply:
COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENT
Any and all business, mercantile office or other establishments
where there is a sale, production and manufacturing of any goods,
products or services within the Borough of Dumont, utilizing less
than 25,000 square feet of floor space.
MULTIPLE-FAMILY DWELLING
Includes any and all structures where individuals reside,
where there is an excess of two rental units.
All the provisions of Article II of this chapter
shall apply to all commercial establishments and multiple-family dwellings.
The local enforcing agency established under
Article II shall carry out periodic inspections of all commercial
establishments and multiple-family dwellings and apply the Uniform
Fire Code and other fire codes to the aforementioned facilities.

Any person who violates or fails to or refuses
to comply with any of the provisions of this article shall be liable
to a penalty of not less than $100, nor more than $2,000, in addition
to imposition of any fees applicable under this chapter.
