No person shall throw or deposit, or cause to be thrown or deposited, in or upon any street, highway or sidewalk thereof, or public place, any tin pans or cans, dirt, sweepings, coal, dust, soot, ashes, cinders, shavings, hair, shreds, manure, shells, or any animal or vegetable matter or substance whatever; but nothing contained in this section shall be construed as forbidding the placing of sand or other substances on sidewalks encumbered by ice, or the removing of snow from sidewalks at any time.

No person shall deposit, place or put any goods, wares, firewood, coal, chattels or merchandise in any public street or highway, or on any sidewalk thereof, in the compact part of the Town, except while actually removing the same into or out of some building or enclosure, or loading or unloading the same into or out of some vehicle.
Whenever from accident or casualty any oil or other liquid which may injure man or beast by contact therewith shall be spilled, or any glass or other solid substance which may render travel unsafe to man or beast shall be thrown or deposited in any street, the person in whose charge or control such liquid or substance was at the time of such accident or casualty shall, as soon as reasonably may be, by removal of the same or otherwise, restore the street to a condition safe and convenient for travel of man and beast.

No person shall ride, drive or lead any animal, or move or trundle any vehicle except light carriages for the conveyance of children and invalids, upon any sidewalk of any public street, unless for the purpose of necessarily crossing the same; and no person shall allow any vehicle or animal belonging to him or under his care to stand on such sidewalk.
No person shall place or continue any awning over any sidewalk unless the same shall be constructed of cloth or canvas and supported by iron rods, and every part of such awning and the supports thereof shall be at least eight feet above the sidewalk.
Any person who shall throw or deposit on any sidewalk or crosswalk in any street, avenue or public place in the Town any part of any fruit or vegetable or other substances which, when stepped upon by any person, is liable to cause, or does cause such person to slip or fall shall, upon conviction, be punished in accordance with Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Town of Lincoln.
No person shall hoist or lower any merchandise into or out of any building over any street, highway or public place within the limits of the Town unless permission therefor shall have been granted by the Town.
Every person who shall stand on any footwalk, sidewalk, doorstep, or in any doorway, in this Town, to the obstruction, delay, disturbance or annoyance of passersby or of persons residing or doing business in the vicinity thereof, shall, upon conviction, be punished in accordance with Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Town of Lincoln.
