Regular meetings of the Board of Aldermen shall be approved by a majority
vote of the Board at the first meeting of the calendar year. The Board of
Aldermen shall meet at least once a month. The Mayor or the President of the
Board of Aldermen shall call special meetings of the Board of Aldermen at
any time when he shall deem expedient, with notice of which, signed by either
the Mayor, the President of the Board of Aldermen, the City Clerk or the Assistant
City Clerk, giving the date and the hour at which such meeting shall be held,
in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act in the Connecticut General
Statutes. In addition, each member of the Board of Aldermen shall be personally
notified of the meeting at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
All meetings of the Board of Aldermen shall be held in the City Hall
unless otherwise ordered by the Mayor.
