Pursuant to Section 7-34b(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes, commencing July 1, 2000, the Town Clerk shall be compensated by virtue of a salary paid by the City of Derby. All fees or compensation provided by the General Statutes to be paid to the Town Clerk shall be collected by such Town Clerk, and the Town Clerk shall deposit all such money collected in accordance with such provisions of law as govern the deposit of moneys belonging to the City.
A. 
Commencing July 1, 2000, the Town Clerk shall be paid a salary at a rate of $59,000 per annum until December 31, 2000. Thereafter, on January 1, 2001, the salary of the Town Clerk shall be adjusted as set forth herein. From and after January 1, 2001, the Town Clerk shall be paid a salary in weekly installments equal to the base hourly wage rate for the Tax Assessor position under applicable collective bargaining contract between the City of Derby and Local 1303-259 of Council 4, AFSCME, AFL-CIO multiplied by 35.
B. 
The Town Clerk shall receive the same paid holidays, leave, vacation and insurance benefits as are provided to the Tax Assessor.
