Each duly elected and sworn Commissioner of Ridgely shall be paid from town funds the sum of $2,000 per annum in equal monthly installments until he or she shall no longer be a Commissioner of Ridgely.

Upon two or more offices of Commissioner of Ridgely becoming vacant per Section 8 of the Charter, the Town Clerk/Treasurer shall convene and complete a special election to fill such vacancies within one month, unless a regular annual election intervenes.
If there is then no Town Clerk/Treasurer or if the Town Clerk/Treasurer fails to convene and complete such election within the time allowed, this responsibility devolves to the Ridgely Planning Commission or, if none, then to the Ridgely Chief of Police or, if none, then to the Town Attorney or, if none, then to anyone qualified to be elected a Commissioner of Ridgely.
Such special election shall be conducted in the same manner as the Charter provides for regular elections.
