A.
The Borough of Carteret Planning Board, after due
consideration and in conformance with the Local Redevelopment and
Housing Law, has recommended the adoption of the Redevelopment Plan
("redevelopment plan") for the Carteret Landfill Reclamation Improvement
District ("District") established by Ordinance No. 95-40, as amended
by Ordinance No. 96-14, with the area of the District shown on Figure
1 of the redevelopment plan;
B.
The redevelopment plan proposes development guidelines
for the development of commercial uses as set forth in Section 5 of
the redevelopment plan;
C.
The redevelopment plan is in furtherance of the goals
and objectives of the Borough with respect to the District and of
the Large Site Landfill Reclamation and Improvement Law and Local
Redevelopment and Housing Law;
D.
The Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret has
reviewed the redevelopment plan and held a public hearing about the
redevelopment plan to receive the comments of the public; and
The redevelopment plan is adopted as the official
redevelopment plan for the District, in accordance with the Local
Redevelopment and Housing Law and the Large Site Landfill Reclamation
and Improvement Law. The redevelopment plan supersedes the redevelopment
plan referred to in Resolution No. 95-346, adopted by the Borough
Council on November 2, 1995, and the amended and restated redevelopment
plan adopted by the Borough Council pursuant to Ordinance No. 02-05.
The Zoning District Map of the Borough's Land
Development Ordinance is hereby amended to reflect the applicability
of the redevelopment plan to the District, and the Borough's Land
Development Ordinance as it affects the District is hereby superseded
by the redevelopment plan to the extent set forth therein.
