The Mayor and Council, pursuant to its authority under N.J.S.A. 40A:14-53, 40:48-2.46 and 39:5A-1 et seq., have determined that it is necessary to designate certain areas as fire zones and to prohibit parking in said zones in order to preserve and safeguard public welfare.
Pursuant to the authority conferred in N.J.S.A. 40A:14-53, 40:48-2.46 and 39:5A-1 et seq., the following described locations are hereby designated as fire zones:

Three feet of macadam outward from the curbline from the front of each and every store located in the shopping center with the exception of the area directly outward from the wall perpendicular to the right side of the entranceway to the Shoprite Supermarket for a distance of approximately 27 feet in a largely southerly direction (to the left), thence turning in a dogleg to the right in a more southerly direction for a distance of approximately 35 feet to a point outward from the right side of the store located immediately to the left of the Shoprite Supermarket as one faces the stores. This area shall be designated as a "Customer Only Loading Zone." No one should leave his/her vehicle unattended in said area

No vehicle shall park or remain standing in any of the fire zones designated as such. Such fire zones shall be marked and posted with signs stating "NO PARKING, FIRE ZONE." Furthermore, said fire zones shall be painted and marked with yellow traffic lines designating the dimensions of the fire zones.
Any person who violates the provisions of this article shall be subject to a fine of not more than $50 or imprisonment not to exceed 15 days, or both.
