It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to paste, paint, brand or stamp or, in any manner whatever, place upon or attach to any building, fence, bridge, gate, outbuilding or other object upon property belonging to the City of Oil City, within the municipal limits, any written, printed, painted or other advertisement, bill, notice, sign or poster, provided that nothing herein shall be so construed as to prevent the posting of any notice required by law or order of court to be posted nor to prevent the posting or placing of any notice particularly concerning or pertaining to the ground or premises upon which the same is so posted or placed.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $300 and costs of prosecution or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
