WHEREAS, The Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York have determined the necessity of a Municipal Administrator.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of West New York as follows:

A. 
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-136 et seq., there is hereby created in the Town of West New York the office of Municipal Administrator; and
B. 
The office of the Municipal Administrator shall fall under the supervision and direction of the Commissioner of Public Safety.

The Municipal Administrator shall administer the business affairs of the Town of West New York and shall have such administrative powers and perform such duties other than those required by law to be exercised by the governing body itself or by another officer, board or body.
The term of office of the Municipal Administrator shall be at the pleasure of the governing body.
The Municipal Administrator shall be appointed by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners.
The Municipal Administrator may be removed by a two-thirds vote of the governing body. The resolution of removal shall become effective three months after its adoption unless the governing body provides that its removal resolution shall have immediate effect. If a removal resolution shall have immediate effect, the governing body shall cause to be paid to the Municipal Administrator forthwith any unpaid balance of his salary and his salary for the next three calendar months following the adoption of the resolution.
The salary of the Municipal Administrator shall be as set forth in the Annual Salary Ordinance.[1]
