It is hereby created the position of Deputy Mayor of the Town
of West New York
The duties and powers of the Deputy Mayor shall be as assigned
by the Mayor from time to time, but shall include but not be limited
to coordination of constituents' complaints, request and inquires;
coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and appearances at such
official events as may be directed by the Mayor.
Initially the position of Deputy Mayor shall be assigned to
the Department of Public Safety and thereafter shall be assigned in
accordance with law.
The position of Deputy Mayor shall serve at the pleasure of
the Mayor.
The salary of the Deputy Mayor may be as set forth in the annual
Municipal Salary Ordinance.
