Editor's Note: The name of this article and all references
to this position throughout this article were changed from "Municipal
Assistant Administrator" to "Deputy Municipal Administrator" 2-19-2020 by Ord. No. 4/20.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-136, there is hereby
established in the Town of West New York the position of Deputy Municipal
Administrator, in the office of Municipal Administrator.
The Deputy Municipal Administrator shall be
under the direction of the Municipal Administrator, performing such
duties of the office of Municipal Administrator as the Municipal Administrator
may from time to time direct, and shall serve as Acting Administrator
in the absence or disability of the Municipal Administrator.
The Deputy Municipal Administrator shall be
appointed by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners and shall serve
at the pleasure of the governing body.
The salary of the Deputy Municipal Administrator
shall be governed by the Annual Salary Ordinance of the Town of West
New York.
