The Board of Health of the Borough heretofore established is hereby
continued.
A. The Board of Health shall consist of seven (7) members
appointed by the Council for a term of three (3) years.
B. If any vacancy shall occur in the Board of Health, it
shall be filled by the Council for the unexpired portion of the term only.
A. The Board of Health shall adopt rules and regulations
for its own government, and shall have all other powers conferred and all
duties prescribed by Title 26 of the Revised Statutes, any other statute,
state regulation or Borough ordinance.
B. The Board of Health shall not contract any debt or debts
of all kind beyond the amount of the appropriation made for its use by the
Council.
A. The Board of Health may elect a president from among its own members
and may appoint the following officers:
(1) Registrar of Vital Statistics.
(4) Such other officers or assistants as the Board of Health
may deem necessary.
B. All appointees of the Board of Health shall be governed
by the rules of said Board, and they may be removed by the Board of Health
for cause.
Members of the Police Department shall promptly report to the Board
of Health every violation of any health ordinance of the Borough which may
come within their observation or knowledge.
