There shall be an officer of said Borough who shall be known as the "Borough Clerk," who shall hold his office at the pleasure of the Council, shall attend all meetings of the Council, keep a record of all its proceedings, advertise and cause to be set up all proper Borough notices, keep an accurate and detailed account and report to the Mayor and Council monthly on all moneys received and paid out by him on its order for Borough purposes, and attend to such other duties as usually pertain to the office of clerks of municipal corporations.

The Borough Clerk shall receive such compensation as shall be established by resolution or ordinance of the Mayor and Council.
