Pursuant to authority in N.J.S.A. 40:48-1(18), all rules and regulations promulgated by the Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police under Chapter 54, Title 13 of the New Jersey Administrative Code, pursuant to authority in N.J.S.A. 2A:151-1 et seq., are incorporated herein.
A. 
The business premises of all dealers shall be subject to periodic inspections by the Fire Subcode Official, Fire Chief and/or fire inspectors of the Borough of Middlesex.
B. 
If at any time fire protection or prevention within the business premises is found to be unacceptable, the dealer will be required to make the necessary repairs or changes or adjustments without undue delay to correct the defect.
The storage, by a dealer, of firearms and/or ammunition and/or component parts anywhere except in an approved secured building is prohibited at all times.
All businesses dealing in the sale of firearms and/or ammunition shall be subject to inspection at all reasonable hours, including weekends, by the Police Department and Fire Department of the Borough of Middlesex.
Any person violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 and/or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Municipal Magistrate. Upon conviction of a violation of this chapter, all business activities of the dealer conducted within the boundaries of the Borough of Middlesex shall immediately cease and shall not resume until such time as the Middlesex Borough Chief of Police determines that the provisions of this chapter have been complied with.
