This zone district is limited to retail and
wholesale sales and service, and in addition to those uses permitted
in the B-1 Zone, unless prohibited elsewhere in this chapter, this
zone permits public garages and gasoline filling stations.
The following uses are prohibited in the B-2
General Business District: residential construction and any use that
is prohibited in the B-1 Zone, manufacturer or industry, house trailers
or other vehicles used for residential or commercial purposes and
any use that is prohibited in the industrial districts.
The following requirements must be complied
with in the General Business District:
A. Height. No building shall exceed a maximum of two
stories or 28 feet, whichever is the lesser.
B. Front yard. There shall be a front yard of not less
than 25 feet. Parking as required may be permitted in the front yard,
provided that no part of any parking area is closer than five feet
to the front street property line.
C. Side yard. There shall be two side yards for each
building, and each side yard shall be at least 20 feet.
D. Rear yard. There shall be a rear yard of at least
40 feet. Parking as required may be permitted in the rear yard.
E. Frontage. The minimum street frontage shall be 100
feet.
