A. 
The words and phrases used in this Part 2 shall, for the purposes of this Part 2, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
B. 
The following words and phrases, which are not defined by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section for the purpose of the traffic ordinances of this Village:
BUS ZONE
An area of a street reserved for the stopping and/or standing of buses while they take on or discharge passengers, as authorized by the Board of Trustees.

HOLIDAYS
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, General Election Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

LOADING ZONE
An area of a street reserved for the loading and unloading of merchandise or other property, between designated hours and for a period of time never to exceed 30 minutes.

OFF-STREET METER ZONE
Any parking area owned or leased by the Village upon which parking meters have heretofore been installed and are in operation or which are to be hereafter installed and operated.
PARKING METER
A mechanical device placed or erected for the regulation of parking.
PARKING METER SPACE
That area designated by markings or otherwise allocated to the parking of a motor vehicle.
PARKING METER ZONE
Any street or portion of a street upon which parking meters have heretofore been installed and are in operation or which are to be hereinafter installed and operated.
SCHOOL SPEED ZONE
That portion of the highway passing a school building and extending not more than 1,320 feet along such highway in front of the entrance to any school building.

TAXI ZONE
An area of a street reserved for the parking of taxicabs, as authorized by the Board of Trustees.

VEHICLE IMMOBILIZATION
To apply and lock a vehicle immobilization device to the exterior of a motor vehicle.

VEHICLE IMMOBILIZATION DEVICE
A vehicle boot or wheel clamp designed to immobilize a parked vehicle and prevent its movement until the device is unlocked and removed.
