The sale, distribution or possession of fireworks as defined in Chapter 387 of the Laws of 1940[1] is hereby prohibited in the Village of Hewlett Harbor, unless a license has previously been issued for such purpose by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hewlett Harbor, hereby designated the permit authority of the Village of Hewlett Harbor, with the powers and duties granted to the permit authority by said statute.

The storage, use or transportation of any high or low explosives, fuses or electric blasting caps, or any other explosive compound or dangerous article, is hereby prohibited, unless a license has previously been issued for such purpose by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hewlett Harbor, hereby empowered to issue a license therefor upon proof to its satisfaction that the regulations of the Bureau of Safety of the Nassau County Police Department and all applicable statutes, rules and regulations have been or will be complied with.
The carrying on the public streets or parkways or the use or discharge for recreational purposes in the Village of Hewlett Harbor of any rifle, pistol, shotgun or other firearm is hereby prohibited.
The violation of any provision of this chapter shall be an offense which shall be punishable as provided in § 1-15 of this Code.
