The erection, alteration, use or maintenance of any billboard within the Village of Hewlett Harbor is hereby prohibited.
Any billboard, sign, advertisement, display or structure erected or maintained in violation of this chapter is hereby declared a public nuisance, and the Mayor or the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and empowered to cause the same to be removed without notice, and the cost or expense thereof shall be charged against the owner or occupant of the premises upon which the same may be situated.

The violation of any provision of this chapter shall be an offense which shall be punishable as provided in § 1-15 of this Code.

The following are permitted signs for a dwelling in the Village of Hewlett Harbor, all of which shall be nonilluminated and nonmoving:

NOTE:
1 No owner or real estate broker shall install or cause to be installed any real estate sign without first obtaining a permit from the Village Clerk and paying a permit fee of $35.
