The Board of Trustees may from time to time on its own motion and in accordance with the provisions of the Village Law amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal the regulations, restrictions and boundaries herein established, or any part thereof.

A. 
Any owner, lessee, tenant, general agent, architect, builder, contractor, subcontractor, workman, employee or any other person who knowingly commits, takes part in or assists in any violation of this chapter or who maintains any building or premises in which any violation of this chapter shall exist or who permits any violation to exist in or upon any building or premises or who shall cause or permit any building or part thereof to be constructed or altered contrary to the plans and specifications theretofore filed under the provisions of this chapter and for which a building permit has been issued shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter and shall be subject to the penalties and remedies provided in §§ 1-15 and 1-16 of the Code of the Village of Hewlett Harbor.
B. 
The violation of any provision of § 145-36.5C(2), stop-work orders, is punishable by a fine not exceeding the amount of $1,000 per day for each day the violation exists or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. A new appearance ticket may be issued each day that the offender(s) is/are in violation.
The Building Zone Ordinance of the Village of Hewlett Harbor, adopted June 10, 1931, as amended, shall be deemed further amended so as to read as herein provided, from and after this chapter has become effective. Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to affect any of the provisions of any other ordinance, but the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed in addition to and not in substitution for the provisions of such other ordinance.
