As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Includes an individual, any combination of individuals or a corporation.
No establishment maintaining and operating coin-operated dry-cleaning machines or coin-operated laundry machines shall be open for the conduct of business on any day of the week other than between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., prevailing time.
Each person who is the owner, operator or manager of an establishment maintaining and operating for hire coin-operated dry-cleaning machines shall provide an attendant who is familiar with the operation of such machines and who shall be in attendance at all times when such machines are made available for hire.
Each person who is the owner, operator or manager of an establishment maintaining and operating for hire coin-operated laundry machines shall provide an attendant who is familiar with the operation of such machines and who shall be in attendance between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., prevailing time, of each and every day when such machines are made available for hire.
Each person who is the owner, operator or manager of an establishment maintaining and operating for hire coin-operated dry-cleaning machines shall prevent the operation of such machines by a person who has not reached his or her 17th birthday.
Each person who is the owner, operator or manager of an establishment maintaining and operating for hire coin-operated dry-cleaning machines or coin-operated laundry machines shall comply with the following requirements:
A. 
Provide interior lighting so that all areas of the establishments are visible from the outside thereof.
B. 
Provide a telephone to be located in the establishment.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to a fine of not exceeding $200 or to imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding 90 days, or both, at the discretion of the Judge. Each day that the terms of this chapter are violated shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
This chapter shall take effect immediately after publication according to law.
