The Mayor and Council shall constitute the Award Authority.
The Award Program shall include the following:
A. 
An award for suggestions that will promote the public interest.
B. 
Awards for service.
C. 
Awards for heroism.
The kind of awards for the classifications contained in § 70-47 of this article shall be as follows:
A. 
Cash ranging from $10 to $50 under the classification contained in § 70-47A.
B. 
Awards for service under the classification contained in § 70-47B for the following years of service:

(1) 
Fifteen years: pin or thirty-dollar gift booklet.
(2) 
Twenty years.
(a) 
Men: tie tac and emblem.
(b) 
Women: Necklace or forty-dollar gift booklet.
(3) 
Twenty-five years: fifty-dollar gift booklet.
(4) 
Thirty years and up: seventy-five dollar gift booklet.
(5) 
Retirement: one-hundred dollar gift booklet after twenty-five years of service.
C. 
The award under the classification contained in § 70-47C shall be determined by the Mayor and Council upon fully documented facts concerning the occasion.
