A. 
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation.
B. 
In this article, the singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.
A. 
The display of merchandise on the sidewalks in the Borough of Waynesboro shall be permitted only under the following conditions:
(1) 
At least 12 feet of sidewalk, beginning at the curbline, shall be kept clear.
(2) 
No more than four feet of the width of the sidewalk shall be used for the display of merchandise, including stands, tables, support or other fixtures or things used in connection with such display.
B. 
Provided, for special occasions, so proclaimed by the Mayor, the above-mentioned conditions need not be adhered to where special alternative arrangements and conditions for merchandise display shall be authorized by the Mayor.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this article shall, for each and every such violation, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50 and costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 10 days. Provided, each day's continuance of a violation of any provision of this article, after notice thereof from the Borough Council, shall constitute a separate violation.
