GENERAL REFERENCES
Subdivision and land development — See Ch. 220.
Zoning — See Ch. 265.
In order to avail itself of the powers conferred by the Act of Assembly, the Borough of Tarentum hereby creates the Department of Borough Planning and establishes a Borough Planning Commission consisting of five citizens of the Borough of Tarentum.
The names of the members of said Commission hereby appointed are:
A. 
Edward Grine for one year.
B. 
John McKibben for two years.
C. 
Ralph Brewer for three years.
D. 
Frank Painter for four years.
E. 
John Kapusta for five years.
A. 
The Borough Planning Commission shall have all the powers and be subject to all the duties under the Acts of Assembly applicable thereto.
B. 
The Commission hereby established shall act as the Zoning Commission of the Borough of Tarentum and shall recommend boundaries of the original zoning districts and appropriate regulations to be enforced therein and shall make a preliminary report after holding public hearing before submitting a final report to Council.
C. 
Insofar as the duties of said Commission apply as Zoning Commission, the Council shall not hold any hearings on such matters or take any action until it has received the final report and recommendations of the Zoning Commission.
