The Council of the Borough of Tarentum shall
appoint employees in such number as the Council may determine necessary,
said employees to prepare during the month of January 1956, and each
year thereafter, lists of residents or inhabitants of the Borough
of Tarentum over 21 years of age, said lists to be presented to the
Council of the Borough of Tarentum on or before February 1 of each
year.
The Council of the Borough of Tarentum shall
fix the compensation of said employees and after the lists have been
presented to the Council of the Borough of Tarentum and approved by
it, a warrant shall be issued to each employee in payment for his
or her services.
A copy of this article shall be given to the
Tax Assessor who under existing law makes and furnishes the tax assessments
for the Borough of Tarentum.
The lists so prepared by the employees and approved
by the Council of the Borough of Tarentum shall be in all respects
considered as the official assessment lists of taxables for the Borough
of Tarentum.
After the preparation of said lists and after
the same are delivered to the Council of the Borough of Tarentum and
approved by it, the Secretary of the Borough is hereby ordered and
directed to deliver said lists to the Tax Collector of the Borough
of Tarentum, which lists shall be used by him in the preparation of
notices to be mailed to the taxables thereon in accordance with the
law in such cases made and provided.
